Title: Samsung S32D850T WQHD Monitor... Whites have Yellowish Cast
Post by: DocLotus on October 12, 2014, 09:10:25 am
My BIG, beautiful 32 inch Samsung S32D850T WQHD monitor is absolutely perfect in every way EXCEPT the whites have a very off color or yellowish cast to them. This is even after a full calibration with a DataColor Spyder Elite.

All photographs however look superb.

I also have an Asus VE278Q monitor (also calibrated with the same Spyder Elite).

Both monitors have LED back lighting.

When both monitors are connected (under Windows 8.1 Update) & I drag a white window from the Samsung to the Asus the color change is VERY obvious; it goes from a yellowish off white to almost pure white on the Asus.

I have tried multiple Spyder calibrations under different monitor settings including Default, different Gammas, different RGB settings, color tones, brightness, contrast, etc... nothing helps.

I have also tried similar monitor settings without the Spyder calibration by just using the monitors own settings... no help in the yellowish white cast.

Any ideas?

Cheers;
