Title: Is Hauppage WinTV-PVR-USB2 supported?
Post by: Jaguu on May 04, 2005, 03:32:47 am
It is not clear to me whether the external device WinTV-PVR2-USB2 is supported by MC11. The TV Tuner instructions say that WinTV USB should be supported, but it is not really clear whether this includes the device mentioned above.

In any case trying to start it in the latest MC11 I get the following message:

Failed to play TV (unknown error)

No, it is not supported yet. I have never tested that device.
WinTV USB is supported. But the only WinTV PVR supported so far are 150/250/350. Hauppauge seems to have difficulty making up their mind about a common interface for their device drivers. So I have to try supporting their devices on individual bases.

I have that one too, and the card is very nice when you're low on PCI slots (like when you have 5-6 sound cards in a computer...). I too would appreciate support for it.

I will not be able to do it for version 11. Maybe the next release.

I sort of figured that, since the last versions gave been RCs.  ;)
