Title: "Something happened during playback"
Post by: apk2112 on November 02, 2018, 09:13:08 pm
Using MC 24 for Mac with Mojave. Connecting via Bluetooth. Getting the error that "Something went wrong during playback," and the message says to check my hardware. This has never been an issue before. I tried switching to different output options, no change.

Any ideas?

Bluetooth audio is limited to 48 kHz so you'd have to open DSP Studio > Output Format and set all formats to 48 kHz (except 48 kHz itself).

Here's an example of another user having the same issue lately, which Brian's advice helped: https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,117837.0.html

Thank you, Awesome Donkey. I tried that, and it did not work for me. I'm just trying to play through headphones now (directly from the computer) and I'm getting nothing. It seems like downloading the new Mac OS may have done something, but I can't figure out what "switches to flip" to get anything out of MC24.

FYI, I went to Tools --> Options --> and changed Audio device to Built-in instead of Default. I have no idea what that does, but at least I can play through my headphones now. Thanks!

It's always wise to select your audio device by name and not use Default.  Glad you figured it out. :)
