Title: Playing DLNA files with replaygain tags
Post by: amiti on October 08, 2022, 12:53:06 am
Hello,

Can you please add support for Replaygain tags like "REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN" or "REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_PEAK" in network files so DSP Volume leveling and Adaptive volume will utilize them?

Thank you.

Please see the wiki about tagging.  You can add custom fields.  The names must be identical, including case.

Thanks for the suggestion.

The "replayngain_track_gain" metadata is available in the dlna file . I added a calculated custom tag both in lower and upper case letters with that information but the player ignored it. The internal tag for "Volume Level (ReplayGain)" cannot be customized.

Is there another way you had in mind for me to achieve this?

When manually choosing to update the library from tags the replaygain data is entered properly into the player's 'Volume Level (ReplayGain)' tag.

Is there a way for the library to update its tags from DLNA files automatically or read them when playing?
