Title: Any plans to produce MC for the iphone?
Post by: baldo on October 31, 2019, 09:47:23 am
At the moment I have JRiver as my main player on my mac, PC and laptop.

It would be great to have JRiver on my iphone so that I can use all its features. Any plans to produce an app for the iphone that does what Itunes does, just better?

Considering how much of a walled garden Apple's ecosystem is, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen.

I don't think this is possible at all. You get JRemote for iOS which you can use.

Sure I have the remote app, but that just acts as a remote control of MC on my Mac. It does not play the audio files that I have on my phone.

I thought that itunes is being killed off so how will I play my music on my iphone?  I thought that other vendors were going to step in an produce media players.

Many thanks

Except Apple didn't kill iTunes, it split iTunes into 3 different apps in macOS Catalina and iOS; the Music, Podcasts and TV apps.
