Title: Moving library and playlists from one PC to another
Post by: callen21 on July 25, 2011, 05:51:49 pm
I gave my wife the PC I was running Media Center 12 on, so now I want to run the same library and playlists on my newer PC.  I had to dig for the "Library" folder on the old PC (it was hidden) and appears to be hidden as I drag it over to my newer PC.  I used "Import Folder" to find the m3u files but my library and playlists are not showing up.  What do I need to do...and, is the fact the folder was "hidden" have anything to do with it?

This may help:

You can back up your library on one machine (under File/Library), and then restore it on another machine.  It's easiest if the location is identical, but the article above will tell you how to change the drive letter, for example.
