Title: Remote unable to play gapless using iPad 14.4.2 version
Post by: mikemcmann on May 10, 2021, 03:26:02 pm
I can control gapless when using Mac mini direct however iPad won't accept the parameters from tool / options.
playing through Linn Majic DSM using MC27.
I'm thinking that something in the iPad is blocking playback. Thanks

Are you gapless when you play from the Mini to the Linn? If so I assume that's connected via USB then, correct?
What are you using on the iPad to control/play the files?

Yes, I am USB from MacMini to LInn and the Mini is also hardwired to a Wifi extender.
Playback on the iPad is the JRiver remote.

Ok, then make sure that in JRemote you choose the zone that would be local in the MC connected to the Linn and not the Linn DLNA (network) zone that can't play gapless with MC (it doesn't support SetNextAVTransportURI and MC doesn't support the openhome protocol).

If you aren't using any network based renderers you can get that zone to not show up in your MC by unchecking the
Tools->Options->Media Network->Advanced->DLNA controller checkbox.

Unchecking the DLNA box was the ticket. Thanks a lot Jim.
