Title: JRemote Play Doctor Command Broken
Post by: jmschnur on June 06, 2014, 11:51:03 am
Lately I find that play doctor is not giving me an assortment of songs but rather just playing the songs on the album that song resides.

What is the proper procedure using JRemote on my iPad?

Thanks!

Joel

There are some comments about this on the JRemote thread.

I'm confused about it, though...

I'm confused...

How were you using Play Doctor on JRemote before?

Play doctor is definitely broke on IOS 7 IPad 2. I can touch and hold genre icon
and select Play Doctor. It selects every album in order.
On My IOS 6 Itouch it still works correctly.

Glynor,

Is it working correctly for you?

Thanks,
Patrick

I don't know what you're doing.  Please explain...

choose a song/playlist > long press > select "play with play doctor"

The resulting list will be nothing more than the album/playlist the song is on.

choose a song/playlist > long press > select "play with play doctor"

See, what's funny is that I use JRemote in "remote control mode" so infrequently, that I didn't even realize that this was an option.  When JRemote is in "this device" Zone, it doesn't even show the Play Doctor item in that long-press menu.

It is broken currently.

IIRC, Play Doctor used to work on the device as well... Hopefully this coming back will be part of fixing it.

I can confirm that Play Doctor is currently not working.
It will be fixed in the new version that I am currently preparing for release.

Thanks, We really need this fixed.

I did find a work around. Start a play list,  then pause it. Go to the action bar. Go to song you stopped on . Right click, then choose play doctor.
