Is it possible to share my music with someone in a different location? If so, where can I learn how to do it?...Including what is necessary hardware/software wise?
Thanks,
Anthony

Welcome to the forum. Take a look at the wiki topic called "Servers". Library Server can serve your files if you want to play them anywhere else on the Internet.

Thanks Jim,
I read the information on Servers...particularly Library Server.
When I go to >Playing Now>Playing From and try to add a library like it says, using my Access Key.
I tries about 4 times to connect to my IP address as well as the IP address of my ISP.
I have tried porting my router to 52199 & 80 and I don't know if either one worked. Not sure which is the correct one either.
I may need more help than you can give me.
Thanks in Advance for any and all help.

Hi Jim,
Well, I have tried everything that I know to try...which isn't all that much. I can play Media Center from my Droid device.
I have ported two ports...80 & 52199. The 80 port I did with my ISP IP address and the 52199 with my internal IP address.
When I try to Add Library it just doesn't work correctly.
I may have to find a Media Center guru here in Denver to come walk me through this. :)
Thanks Anyway.

Please re-read the topic. The external address needs to allow access on 52199, and the router needs to forward any requests on 52199 to the machine where Media Server is running.
There is a test if you click on the Access Key in MC's options.

Does the receiving computer need to have Media Center on its machine before I set this up for testing?
