Title: Mediacenter 30.87 for Linux crashing
Post by: bahringe on April 06, 2023, 04:51:36 pm
Hi I've been getting frequent crashes lately. It's a SIGSEGV error "reading unknown VMA" it happens usually 5-10 min after I start Mediacenter without doing anything else. Any idea where I can look for what's conflicting with MC?

I a complete noob to MC, but I just posted something that could be the same problem. It might be trying to import a file and choking on it. It seems like if it failed on the import the first time, then it still goes and looks once in a while, and on finding the offending file it crashes again. When I imported a large library, then it took longer before crashing, but I cleared the library and just imported smaller parts. Then it would crash sooner. Eventually I found one file that it fails on.
