Title: NEW: Reporter -- a summary of your data
Post by: JimH on December 11, 2013, 09:37:39 am
MC 19.0.94 has a new feature called Reporter.  It generates a report from MC's data .  It's under Services and Plug-ins in the tree on the left.

We would like it to grow into an information panel, where we might display interesting and useful data about the library and the player's activity.

Here's how it looks in 19.0.94:

when MC shows a Pie chart, it would be nice if MC told you what color means what in the pie.

How did I miss this piece of coolio, newness?

Information overload. Love it.

Would it be possible to have the keyboard shortcut for this changed from CTRL+SHIFT+T ?

As CTRL+T cycles forwards through your zones (which I also have issue with, considering that MC has a tabbed interface…) it would be nice if CTRL+SHIFT+T was reserved for cycling backwards through the zones - as is typical for most keyboard shortcuts. (CTRL+Key = forwards, CTRL+SHIFT+Key = backwards/undo change)

Don't quote me on this, but I believe the intention was to change it, with the CTRL+SHIFT+T being a simple way to identify this as a 'Test' function :)

Yes.  That's their commonly used tester function.

I love this. Nice addition!

Would love to see things listed like files by extension, missing artwork, possibly corrupt items and so on.

Right now I see one file listed as "Other files = 1". Can't figure out what that might be....
