I am considering to buy: Hauppauge WinTV Go Plus TV Tuner (1033)

It comes with a remote controller. Is there a way to use that remote and its interface to other functions of MC? (i.e. theaterview).

Media Center supports Girder input plugins.

You can also easily use Girder if you need more advanced control.
