Hello all. Have migrated from Windows to Linux, and mostly it works quite nice
But I have a strange issue.
I have imported all my media files fine, well almost. I have some DVD rips folders with VOB files in it, but the import job is not importing then. I can play them fine with JR, but they are not in my libarary. I have of cource selected the Video, and all video types ( incl. *.vob)
The import dialog seems to state one VOB file, but then nothing more happens. see attached image.
How can I debug this ?

I don't think the VOB file reading structure exists in Linux and Mac MC.
-
Strange, the filetype is available in the file type filer dialog (ifo, vob)
-
In addition, I have no trouble playing VOB files, it's just the import task that ignores them
-
You can play the vobs as files, they are just mpeg2 files. I don't think you can access the disk structure ( the DVD menu).
-
That's correct. My point is that JR can handle and play these files, but the import into the catalog is failing or missing.

Ok, that's probably a simple change, I'll check into it.
Just curious how useful do you find the ability to play the individual vobs is?

I have ripped a lot of DVDs and the ability to play then over *net is quite nice ....
Of cource it's even better to have JR automatically see all vob's like a DVD, so I can play them as one film.

Ok, thanks for the feedback!

And subtitle support, as well ? (when I played one vob directly, it found the different video streams, but no subtitles was available)

Don't know about that one. Bump this after we fix the previous issue and we'll check into it...

Hi, any update on this? I have always had trouble getting VOB/ISO files to index and be seen in the library alongside all other videos that are there in JRiver off my QNAP. I don't even know how to get those file types to play at all which is a mega bummer. Any help at all is appreciated.
