Title: Configuring panes to display additional track info
Post by: Tango-DJ on December 26, 2017, 03:06:41 pm
I'm a tango DJ and have used Foobar2000 for many years. Since switching to a Mac, however, I've been on the lookout for an adequate Mac OS alternative. (I currently run Foobar on a virtual machine, but I'm dissatisfied with this solution, for a number of reasons.)

Of all the music players I tried, JRiver is the one that comes closest to fulfilling my needs. I have a very large library (comprising over 70,000 files) which Foobar organizes via a system of smart playlists and custom fields, and I managed to replicate this system on JRiver. What I am unable to do, however, is configure the panes to display additional information about the track(s) selected. In the attached screenshot you can see how this looks on Foobar. Can this functionality be replicated, or at least approximated, on JRiver?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome to the forum.

You could use the Tag Window to display the information.  The Tag Window in MC23 can be customized.
