Title: jriver 24 license problem
Post by: kiorenui on October 28, 2018, 04:20:32 pm
I have a master license for version 24. I have installed the license several times but the program doesn't "remember" the license when it exits; every time I restart the software it says "trial expired"&c.

My machine is running ubuntu 18.04. I previously used a different master license for version 23 with no similar issues. I have made sure that mc24 is using the version 24 license.

I have uninstalled the previous version (MC23) and also uninstalled and reinstalled MC24. No joy.

Can you please tell me how to fix this?

thanks!

OK I have "fixed" this. It involved uninstalling the program, deleting the .jriver folder, and restoring my library and settings from a backup.

I would still love to know how MC got so messed up. Can anyone help me?

It's an issue with the earlier MC24 builds (caused mainly by Linux kernel updates) that was fixed. Make sure you're using MC 24.0.55.
