Title: Need help transferring music from 3rd gen classic ipod to computer.

I found a 3rd gen ipod that wasn't working in with some recycled electronics. I replaced the battery and it works. It says it is synced with another itunes library. Is there any way to transfer this music to my computer? I have no idea who this belonged to. It is about 3,000 songs.
