Title: Bitperfect DSF playback?
Post by: KENZO on March 01, 2021, 11:55:31 pm
I have recorded a DSF file to 1xDSD and I use a Topping D10 DSD capable DAC with the Topping ASIO driver for windows.

How to get bitperfect playback to the D10 using JRiver?

It seems I need to use DSP and select 1xDSD encoding?  Does that avoid bitrate conversions?

Thanks!

No, using Output Format that way is for changing the format of audio; in the case you describe, converting PCM to DSD, which is not what you want. You wish to bitstream DSD over USB.

Many elementary questions, like this one, can be answered by a simple google search including the term jriver. If you google "jriver dsd" you would find this article as the first result.  It contains the information you need.
