Title: Media Jukebox with .WAV files
Post by: abr88 on May 07, 2004, 10:09:29 am
This is going to be a very ignorant newbie-type question, for which I apologize in advance. I don't  own Media Jukebox yet.  I want to store many hundreds of music files **in .WAV format** on my computer and be able to easily catalog, play and random-play them (within a given folder).  All the Media Jukebox posts and info seem to concern files in various compressed formats -- mp3, WMA, etc.  If I use .WAV exclusively, will Media Jukebox do all the cool things it can do with compressed-format files?
What *won't* it be able to do? Thanks in advance.

It handles wav's as deftly as any other format. Wav's aren't taggable, though (at least with MJ). You would be far better off to use the lossless APE format (MJ doesn't support FLAC...MC does) which are half the size of a wav and are fully taggable.
