Title: JRiver Downloader for HDTracks Won't Login
Post by: RStaud on January 27, 2018, 05:56:17 pm
The new version of the HDTracks Downloader won't login.  I have verified the password by logging in to their website 3 or 4 times.  This behavior is consistent on 2 machines.  Is the software broken or is it incompatible with XP?  Can I somehow obtain an older version of the software. since only the new version(s) exhibits this problem?

The software hasn't changed for several years.  Please contact HDTracks.

You should upgrade XP.  It's not safe or supported any longer.

I don't know.  I have a version of the Downloader, a few years old, compiled for Acoustic Sounds.  It works perfectly.  So either the software has changed, or there's something wrong with HDTRACK's server.

XP is actually better supported than one might think.  There's plenty of software for it, and a large constituent that feels XP is the best version of Windows ever.  And I've had no trouble with viruses or bugs.

Of course, any claims Microsoft makes about the obsolescence of XP are "exaggerated."

Thanks Very Much,
Robert

The downloader hasn't changed.  Did you ask HDtracks?
