Title: 24-bit WASAPI Output
Post by: 6233638 on February 16, 2013, 12:51:58 pm
When I try to use 24-bit WASAPI in other applications (ReClock for example) I am required to use the 24-bit padded to 32 option.

Yet with WASAPI Exclusive or Event Style in MC18, 24-bit works just fine even without the "present 24-bit data in a 32-bit package" option.

Any idea why that is? I am on Windows 8 using Nvidia's HDMI driver.

No idea why this works in JRiver but nothing else? I don't currently have any way of verifying whether 24-bit is being output correctly, but I would suspect not if only JRiver can claim to output 24-bit integer, when everything else needs to pad it to 32.
