Just updated to 3.21 on iPad Air 2.
PDF booklets are back! Yeah!!! No more numbers instead or artists either. Double yeah!!!
This time around though, JRemote crashes every time you use a metadata field, any field...
Third time's the charm?!?
Let's hope...

Accessing the search function causes immediate JRemote 3.21 crash on IPad Air.

JRemote 3.21 just update on my IPad Mini and now every time I touch a metadata field (tag) for a tune that's playing, the program shuts down! Requiring a program startup. Hope that can be quickly fixed. My IPad has the latest IOS 9.0.1

I can now view pdf and jpg files, as long as they appear as assets. But, JRemote is not always picking up that there are pdf and jpg files in the folder. In several recently added album folders no assets are showing, even though I know they are there. Tried re-booting my iPad Air, and the server, but no dice. That never used to happen. Any thoughts on what my cause that?

They have to be imported first. If all of your music is in one folder, you can drag the whole folder into JRiver to have it reimported. You can also search for pdf's jpg's, png, bmp's etc ... individually and important those one filtered group at the time which maybe faster in some cases.

Several clients have reported the JRemote version 3.21 crashing problem in IPod Air and IPod Mini when accessing the metadata search function but so far no one from JRiver has commented. Is anyone at JRiver looking into this?
-
Yes. Expect a fix next week.
-
Great stuff! Thanks Jim.

IPad Air latest updates with iOS 9 and Jr. Remote. Using Windows 10 latest updates with 20. Search crashes Jr remote

We've uploaded the app but it's stalled pending approval. That can take up to 8 days, so it could still be a little. Sorry.
-
Thanks for the quick fix. Awesome.
-
Thanks.
I hope that will be released soon on Apple store.
-
Not yet approved. What about the approval process? No news?
-
It was rejected because it showed album covers. We had to resubmit it.
-
So is not possible to show album cover?
How much time do you think that will be fixed the problem?
In the new version will not possible to see the album images?

What's the latest on this? Is there a work around? I've tried deleting the app from my iPad and re-syncing with my backup, but that didn't help.
It's frustrating having to have to stand up and move to select another track.

Is not installation problem. Is BUG problem.
I re-installed JRemote, Windows 8 (before to upgrade to Windows 10) and JRiver before discover that was a problem due to IOS9 and JRemote.

If I understand correctly, this is just about the screenshots for the App Store. As using copyrighted material (album covers) to promote the app seems to be deemed illegal by Apple, the screenshots will have to be either without album covers or with covers that are not copyrighted or where the use has been allowed by the copyright holders.

Thanks for clarification.

Still not up in app Store.

I understand that is not easy to solve the problem, I understand that previous corrections has been rejected by apple, but I'd like to understand how much we have to wait until the problem will be solved (if it will be solved), and when it will be available on apple store. Is the lack of information that is not good (the problem is possible to have and is not a real problem if we can know how much we have to wait).
The information is very important.

This is a very strange problem. JRemote ver. 3.21 causes a search crashing problem ONLY on my IPad Mini. I also have an IPod Touch which has version 3.21 and it runs as it always did. No crashes. It's a mystery why it affects one device and not the other.

Still not up in app Store.
JRemote hasn't been working properly for over a month since the IOS9 update. Attempting to use a key feature listed under JRemote's "Details" tab in the App store - "...Search using MC fuzzy search engine.." immediately crashes the app.
I think an update regarding a fix would be timely and appreciated.

It was fixed and submitted about a week after it was reported, but Apple has been screwing around. They didn't like our cover art.

I know, but is not possible to change cover art and resubmit ? If Apple does not like your cover art, the problem will irresolvable forever ?
It does not seem a serious position. Please resubmit clarifying with Apple. I have bought and paid JRiver, it was not free.

Of course, but it has to go through the entire process again, and that just takes time.
Especially since after they flagged it like this once, the re-approval takes even longer.

Thanks for new version. Now search works.
