It uses HTML5 to do some cool stuff.
What do you mean by "remote control friendly"?
Can you assign a button on a point and click remote to perform the same actions that would take place when pressing any given icon on a touchscreen
Its a web interface, so its not inherently designed for remotes. You could probably get something setup using various custom remote control mapping tools.do buttons map 1:1 to REST api calls?
do buttons map 1:1 to REST api calls?
Im not very good with developer lingo but could you associate mcc commands into the web server and assign button presses to execute said mcc commands. The latter i believe is already possible with event ghostThe Panel app isn't customizeable, but you could probably build your own menu. Both MC and Engen have REST interfaces. The MCWS documentation on the DevZone page should get you started with MC. Please start a new topic for help.
I'd like to see something like this on my tablet so eventually I might be able to replace my remote control with "The Panel"The Lighting item on the menu links to Engen, if installed. In Engen, you can turn switches on and off. I have my receiver and TV plugged into a Z-Wave power strip. A single click can turn both on.
Press the "Media Centre" button and the TV and Amp turn on, and select the correct inputs and away we go....
If The Panel can send commands to external application like Girder ( I assume via MC running on the same PC) then in theory it should all be possible.
Man arrives at house. Engen recognizes presence. Opens garage door, unlocks the house, turns on lights if needed, starts a little music.Don't forget the default, hard coded WAF mode...
This obviously requires a lot of logic. We have the ability to flip all the switches now. We just need to add the logic and the user interface.
Hitting launch for lighting panel does not use JRiver configured port. So it doesn't openIt requires Engen to be running. That's only available on the beta board for Engen. Let me know if you want to help out there. You would need some Z-Wave equipment.
This project has its roots in the Pretty Face (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=99290.0) discussion from last year.
OK,tried to download the link for the "panel" ,Jim sent me back over here...tried to open the http://IP_ADD8SS1:52100 from my web browser,still a no go
When I try to load the web page I'm getting a "Secure Connection Failed" message. Is this a firewall issue? I'm using Firefox as my web browser.Possibly. Try localhost:52199 from the same machine, just to see what happens.
Possibly. Try localhost:52199 from the same machine, just to see what happens.
Doesn't work in Windows 10 which is very disappointingIt does. Firewall?
An early build of MC22 is at the top of this board now.
One of the features I'm most excited about is Panel. Synergy is a great word to describe it. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Here's a screenshot:
...
You need to have MC 22.0.9 (or higher) installed.
Then you connect to it from a browser. Instructions are at the bottom of the post you linked. I just made a correction. One of the ports was wrong.
A firewall might also block access.
What did you do? What happened?
Which browser?
Don't forget the default, hard coded WAF mode...
Wife/Partner arrives at house ... [it] turns on oven.
This obviously requires not a lot of logic.
:D
Any plan on making the web-based panel secured (user login based)?
This also happens to be the case for regular client based traffic and should be done to secure both. I leave the port open on my end, but I cringe thinking about that.I guess that I know what my "evil twin" would do now --- sniff the port 52199 everywhere ;D
Not sure if this is a bug or just a quirk:I agree.
Panel appears to have replaced the "top page" of webgizmo (i.e. when you press Audio in panel it appears to take you to the same destination that pressing Audio in the top page of webgizmo used to do, etc.). However, once you've navigated down into webgizmo below the top level panel, pressing the home button takes you to the old webgizmo top page rather than back to panel.
This means on a touchscreen kiosk-style interface (i.e. one without a hardware back button) there's no way to get back to panel once you've navigated down into audio or video. It seems like the home button should return to panel.

1. Remove or skip the home page of WebGizmo so we use the Panel home page instead. This would require adding Search to it, which is probably a good idea anyway.
OR
2. Add a back arrow button right next to the home button. It would just go up one level in the menu instead of going home.
Any word on when Panel will be available for MC22 on the Mac?Ok, got the Panel to come up with http://localhost:52199 on my Mac. Didn't realize I had to turn on Tools>Options>Media Network, which was off by default with my installation.
Hello,
Running MC 22.0.13 for Mac on macMini. Panel opening screen looks great (starry sky). Setup button leads to blank screen. Other buttons work. Anything else I need to configure?
Thanks.
I am still unable to view videos using Panel.
Audio section works fine
To view a video you need to have Adobe Flash installed and activated.
There's no Search feature. Seems like a sizeable oversight. Thoughts?
Any reason not to have "Search" right on the Panel main screen?
Playing with Panel and am seeing the same usability issue that I have when trying to use JRemote to control things. When I start a video that has been previously viewed it comes up (per my settings) asking if I want to restart or resume. There is no way to make the selection other than putting down the device and reaching for the remote. In other apps (for other video players) the 'continue/resume' prompt appears on screen in the app and allow you to make a selection there.This is something that's been a problem for me in JRemote too. In addition to videos, it also seems to sometimes happen if I start playing a radio link that I've previously played. In this situation, I'm using JRemote to control a zone that's connected to a USB DAC, so I'm not actually looking at the JRiver window (or even the same PC at the time) as the JRiver server is in a different room. It took me a while to figure out why my stream wasn't just playing... IMO, this needs to be addressed both here and in JRemote.
How do you think it should be changed?
Username and password are only required if you have turned on Authentication on the server. Turn it off if you can't remember.
There are still a lot of unfinished aspects, a lot of which should get fixed next week.
Took me a while, but finally I was able to get into Panel. When I entered just "loalhost:52199" in the browser, I simply got Google search results. I had to use the full IP address for Panel to work on my local machine. And I had to get MC23 to upgrade to MC23.0.36 before it would work.
Panel is quick and easy, but I am not able to see or select tracks. I can choose entire albums or entire playlists, but the tracks don't show up. Is this normal?
I'm having the same issue when going AUDIO->ALBUM. There's no individual tracks seen.
Click on the album artwork but not in the middle where the Play symbol shows on hovering. Individual tracks display.No, they don't display. I'm on MC23.0.36 and when doing what you suggest, here's what I get:
Note though that I am on a slightly older version than you, but I think it worked in MC23.0.36.
localhost:52199 gives the exact same outcome on the same PC, another PC or Android phone running Marshmallow. I see the panel but as soon as I click any of the options (Audio, Playlists, etc) a blank screen is presented in FF and the following message in Chrome "This localhost page can’t be found" "No webpage was found for the web address: http://192.168.0.10:52199/Gizmo/library.html?LibraryLocation=1"
If there are significant changes on the horizon, I think I'll hold off a week or so then until stuff you're working on is pushed out.So, looks like holding off on feedback was the right call as the latest updates have addressed the great majority of the issues I was seeing with Panel. I see individual tracks in now, I don't get stranded in one of the sub-areas anymore, and album art displays consistently. The only quibble I have is that clicking on System Settings kills playback without warning, but that's almost never going to come up in normal use. Great job on the updates!

Nice !
just one little issue to be reported. I hace customized the Thumbnail text in JRiver views (see attached screenshot), and Panel does not recognize the HTML tags. Probably an easy fix ;)
perfect, I updated to .45, and now it works. ;D
There are no posters, but everything works.
Thank you
We may add a shuffle button later, but for now ...I have randomized smartlists that I use to control music playback in Media Center.
Try using the Radio button. It requires setting up Car Radio (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Car_Radio) playlists. These can be static lists or Play Doctor (https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Play_Doctor) lists.
You can also add a smartlist and then use it as a Car Radio button.

And thanks for the suggestion, Jim - I took a couple of big steps today. (It does reinforce, though, the idea that the UI is non-intuitive and obtuse.)Obtuse? Maybe you mean obscure.
Obtuse? Maybe you mean obscure.
It's probably not possible to make complex capabilities intuitive.
There's a way, but it has a bug I just reported tonight.
"I tried to add a smartlist to a Car Radio button. I used the right click > link to playlist. It worked, but it changed the number of buttons to 1000."
You can right click again to set the number of buttons back to something sane.
Is there a way to change the video quality streamed to Panel?
Thanks. Looking forward to it. Is this considered for 23?
I'd like to build a link that includes login credentials for my phone's home page. How do I do that?
http://username:password@example.com/
My Panel plays aren't being logged in the database. Is this a settings problem?
I'd prefer an option in JRiver to disable HTTP connections altogether and only accept HTTPS.
I believe this is because authentication isn't fully implemented into Panel yet.
You can do that with firewalls or only forwarding the HTTPS port in the router. Fully exposing an unprotected system to the internet (or any uncontrolled environment) is not something anyone should be doing.JRemote (iOS) can't connect via SSL, and that site to connect via an access key only uses HTTP.
Is there a way to change the video quality streamed to Panel?
Screenshots of Panel on a phone (http://www.pix01.com/gallery/8D12431D-7EA0-495D-9EA2-775091458CB9/Panel_on_a_Phone/)
IMO, placing the thumbnail text on the album cover is not desirable.We plan to change this.
If you already have MC installed on a system, you can either use a local Panel to remote-control that instance of MC, or just use MC directly. Panel is not meant to replace MC itself.
I have an Amazon kindle fire. Can I add Panel to it and if so, does this mean that I can use Panel on my tablet to play JRiver on my Bel Canto RefStream without opening JRiver on my Mac? If so, How do I get Panel on my tablet?
Thanks
Tom
Anyone having problems with Panel freezing when it's accessed? I searched Interact a bit but couldn't find anything.
I've tried it using Chrome and Microsoft Edge on both my desktop (the localhost) and laptop PCs, and I even tried it on my Galaxy S7's Chrome browser as well, and each time the page loads after I enter the User and Password, but I can't push any buttons (including the settings button) and eventually it times out, giving me the little Chrome sad face when I'm on that browser. I believe I tried it once after it launched from an external location to no avail as well. Media Network works, as I use JRemote all the time, both inside and outside my network. My antivirus is Windows Defender, and again, I think it's all set up properly, given that I can use Webgizmo, Gizmo, and JRemote within or without my network.
I attached a jpeg below. This is what happens every time. Any suggestions?
I have updated to the latest version tonight, but now when i click on panel on my android, the display is all over the place, it worked flawlessly on 23.0.60 but not now, i have uploaded a screenshot, any ideas
yes, tried clearing the history and cache, but still the same, worked fine before tho, even from my ipad it does not look right as before
How can I
1. change the icon colors
2. remove icons (e.g. I do not want the Engen icon, I do not want to see the Genre icon)
3. Resize the icons
At the moment, you cannot change the color of the icons. You also cannot remove the Engen and the Radio KISS icons. You can add/remove/edit the other category icons from Media Center. To do this, go to Tools -> Options -> Media Network, and under Advanced is the option "Customize views for JRemote, Gizmo & Panel." This will bring up a dialogue to edit the categories. You will need to restart Media Center before any changes you make will take effect. Icons cannot be resized aside from changing the width of the browser window.
I do not see that option under Advanced or under Panel. Panel has an Appearance option, but there is no option other than a directory box that not go to the directory is has at the top of the box.
Did I miss something?
c. Much like the other requester mentioned regarding album art in the player... it would be nice if the video player would freeze in place above the list of items being played instead of disappearing as you scroll down the list. if you guys get a chance to tweak the one, tweaking both would be great.
What's the localhost command you used?
What happens if you click on this?
http://localhost:52199
What version of MC do you have installed?
Does not work for me via localhost. I run bitdefender 2018. Turned off antivirus and firewall... nothing sadly.
Running latest 64 bit.
Just to be certain, do you have Media Networking enabled in Media Center? Panel will not work if it's not enabled.
That's it, I guess I missed this in the instructions? If so I didn't see it I'm sorry to be so dumb..No. That was my fault. I left it out of the instructions. Now fixed in the first post. Thanks for your patience.
Playback information does not show up for me. It shows only after I go to the "playing now" icon on top right. Also, the information still does not change with track changes (when listening to an album). Neither in "playing now", nor on the bottom left.

This is still valid for 81 for me. Also: wasn't there an indicator in the tracklist on what is playing now? I took the screenshot while track 3 already played. I started from playing track 1 and left it playing.
Panel sometimes shows an empty page for me when I browse to PanelIP:52199.
Panel sometimes shows an empty page for me when I browse to PanelIP:52199.Is Javascript allowed?
Is Panel meant to replace JRemote? I haven't tried Panel yet so I'm trying to understand where it fits in.No.
Does this only happen when you're playing to the zone, Player?
It might be a similar problem to the one I described above. Neither restarting MC nor restarting the PC (Panel connects to) helped. Clearing out the browser cache fixed it, which is not a solution IMO.
I just played to "Here" and I don't encounter those issues.
Panel has suddenly stopped working for me. When I try to access it remotely in Chrome, either on a PC or on my Android phone, I first see a white splash page that says "JRiver Panel" and then I get a solid gray screen. No icons, no links. This started today. (MC 23.0.82, Windows 10)
Try clearing your browser cache and history.
Hi,
Is there a way to save the zone and number of items per page?
When I launch Panel from a PC the zone is reseted to Here and the number to 50.
Had tried clearing the cache already and that didn't work. Clearing history did, however. Thanks.
Maybe you're not allowing cookies? Or Javascript?
1) Wake on LAN: Using another computer within the network/LAN using JRiver itself, I can get it to wake my main PC from sleep, but I can't seem to get Panel either on a phone or on a computer to wake the PC. Does Panel support WoL? It seems a bit limited outside the home if it can't wake up my sleeping computer. Suggestions?
2) SSL/HTTPS: Like I said it works, but the normal HTTP version still works, too. Shouldn't enabling SSL make it so HTTP doesn't work? Is this a security risk, or is it as long as I don't use HTTP (thus revealing my password), am I OK?
Thanks but that's not it either. Both are allowed -- checked both desktop and mobile (Chrome for Windows and Android). This behavior began with the update to .82. Haven't changed any browser settings since.
I just downloaded MC23 onto my wife's Microsoft surface pro, successfully registered the license and have activated the panel feature in her Firefox web browser. I can sign in to the panels, but none of the music library is showing. If I play from another computer it sees what's playing and I can control the song, but there is no library showing in Artists, genres, albums etc.Firewall? Open 52100 to 52200.
I like the bigger square icons for Panel on my phone ..... Thanks for development here, it's a fantastic interface.Thank you. I agree. Brad deserves a lot of credit for all the hard work and all the minor tweaking. Well done, Brad!
Skipping songs in Panel on my phone sometimes create hundreds of scrobbles in last.fm.
My current record is 691 scrobbles from one skip ;D
Can I set Panel up as a "Zone" in JRiver on my PC? I want to push music out to one or more Panel enabled devices on my network while also playing the same music on my computer (in sync)? Or is there another way to accomplish this?
Update on this. It's the #Plays in JRiver itself that is spawning hundreds, even thousands of duplicate plays. It happens on my phone and pc in Chrome (I haven't tested other browsers yet)
Can the titles below the covers be made optional? Or the cover size-to-text-ratio be changed? It looks horrible.looks ok to me so I suggest showing a pic to illustrate
Could you post a design that doesn't look horrible?
looks ok to me so I suggest showing a pic to illustrate
Bug? I have stock standard setup in Media network, using port 52199.Not a bug. Lighting (Engen) uses 52125. It won't work unless you have a Z-Stick.
When in browser , Localhost:52199 everything works as expected except when I hit the light bulb icon (not sure what it is but...), then I get the browser error
~~~
Hmmm...can’t reach this page
Try this
Make sure you’ve got the right web address: http://localhost:52125
Search for "http://localhost:52125" on Bing
Refresh the page
Seems like it has jumped across to use a different port number. This is on new installation of Windows 10-64, and running MC23.0.91?
David
BUG - collating display on recent list? Server side bug perhaps because this behavious exists on both Panel and Gizmo.Please try 23.0.91, available at the top of this board.
Thanks - love the product...Thank you.
Not a bug. Lighting (Engen) uses 52125. It won't work unless you have a Z-Stick.
Thanks - I didn't know what the light bulb was for, so I will leave that alone now. Z-Stick is not available in Australia.It looks like it is available there:
Can the light bulb (or the other buttons) be made optional to the user?
The syntax for that in URLs is the other way around:It works perfect, it initiates an HTTP Basic Auth exactly like you have the authentication box. The only downside is that all credentials are visible in the URL.
http://username:password@localhost:52199/Panel/#/browse
Not sure that works reliably in panel quite yet, in a quick try it was a bit weird, but give it a shot regardless!
I will make the Engen button only appear if the Engen server is running.
It works perfect, it initiates an HTTP Basic Auth exactly like you have the authentication box. The only downside is that all credentials are visible in the URL.Yes, works perfectly for me as well, both on local network and from the web. Thanks.
dtc,
You can right click on the Car Radio buttons and choose Auto-fill.
Does MCWS support Read-Only Authentication?
Yes. Settings options like Shutdown and Restart require full authentication. These options will not work with read-only authentication, but you can still connect to Panel with read-only authentication.
Any ideas on a Guest Mode? Or password protection (separate, of course, from giving them my Admin password)?
I have a total of 24 albums called "Greatest Hits" and they all apear under the most recently added 'greatest hits' album and disappear off the place in the list they used to be. So under the latest one I added which was Simply Red Greatest Hits, it lists 474 tracks but none of the other Greatest Hits albums exist in the Recent list anymore. As mentioned this behavious occurs in Gizmo also. In the main library on the server they are correctly displayed.
Is it just me then that sees this in panel, gizmo?
You need to set up authentication on the server before a remote reboot will work.Could you hasten my search for the procedure to authenticate?
Just installed Panel on my Christmas gift iPad; essentially using it to replace Gizmo, which I had on an old cheapo Android tablet. Has been a fairly seamless transition from Gizmo, but there's one thing that sticks out - scrolling.
When scrolling through the Album thumbnails, the display doesn't "freewheel" when given a vigorous swipe. It only moves are far as your finger, and stops right there. With some long-ish album titles wrapped and taking up a lot of vertical space, sometimes I'm only scrolling a couple of rows at a time. Makes finding albums a bit slow and clumsy. I suppose I could reduce the number of thumbnails per page and navigate between pages, but it's still slower.
A "free-wheeling" swipe, or a "slider" button on the side, might make things a lot more user friendly.
bean counter,
Make sure you have the latest build from this board.
New question: I've found using the search "wizard" in MC on my Windows laptop to be invaluable in finding my HiRes (bitdepth=16) and DSD(bitdepth=1) files.
Is/will this be supported in Panel/JRemote?
Comments? Thank you.
You can create a view for the remotes with hi-rez files only. You just need to set a rule to include only files with a sample rate above 44.1K. If you include 24/44 files as hi-rez, you can include that in the criteria (bitdept not equal to 16).
Views are configured on the server. MC on the Id, in this case.
https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Customize_Views_for_Gizmo,_WebRemote,_and_DLNA.
Not all fields are searchable by default, but you can tell MC that you want a field (tag) to be searchable.
Wow, that was surprisingly easy.What?
Which web browser are you using? If you're using Safari, try a different web browser.
Tried Chrome; same issue
Yes, works perfectly for me as well, both on local network and from the web. Thanks.
Does MCWS support Read-Only Authentication? If so, that might allow me to share Panel without giving out my "root" MC Authentication info.
Otherwise, sharing a Panel link with friends family gives access to system settings like shutdown and restart.
Perhaps Read Only login to Panel could limit playback to the Panel and not control MC Zones as well. Thanks for considering these suggestions!
What?Sorry, I was not clear. I was referring to the ease of use of Panel. I just plugged in the URL, enter my access key, and Bam!, there it is. I've been using JRemote, but Panel shows real promise.
There is one more important note I wanted to add to this. If this instance of Media Center has the address of an Engen server, read-only authenticated users will still be able to access the Engen server if it's running. If you're allowing others to access Panel, I would suggest making sure the instance of Media Center does not have the address of the Engen server.
I like the interface of the new Panel....although I miss not having the ability to assign a song as next to play, or play the file only as you can with webgizmo, creating a song list on the fly,....do you believe you will add this feature into panel in the future?
I agree. The way I use WebGizmo was to scroll through albums and songs and add them to the current playlist. The fact that i can't do this with Panel makes it almost useless for me.We may work on this, but have you tried the Car Radio buttons? You can right click on them in Playing Now in MC and auto fill them.
I really liked how JRemote worked. A mode was set; add, add as next to play; play all; play now... When a song was selected the mode that you are in determines the behaviour. This also prevented the annoying thing of telling it to play when you really just wanted the song added to the current list.
In Panel, on the home screen, is there a way to add text labels to the big icons? When I look at Panel all the other sub-menus have text labels. I found I can modify the sub-menus and their labels in JRiver's options as well. But I want to add text labels to the main icons.No. Sorry. They should be easy to learn though.
No. Sorry. They should be easy to learn though.
While browsing albums or artists in Panel, you are always returned back to the first page after looking at an album/artist and subsequently closing that view. Could you return us back to where we left off while browsing?
And the scrolling through search results does not work on an iPad using Safari OR Firefox. I never saw an acknowledgment from another member's post about this.
Thank you.
Which version of Media Center are you using?
Whatever the latest update for the Id Pi is - MC22 think. I just received the hardware 3 weeks ago and update it every week.
The IdPi is running a slightly older version of Panel at the moment. When the next update is available, it should resolve the problems you're seeing.
We may work on this, but have you tried the Car Radio buttons? You can right click on them in Playing Now in MC and auto fill them.
If you access Panel right through http://...:52199/Panel/ (ie. straight to the Panel folder) then it should not be prompting the browser credentials. Only if you access the root it may ask that. We should probably exclude that, since its just redirecting to Panel anyway.it requests basic auth if I hit http://...:51299/ or if I hit http://...:52199/Panel/
That could be a browser thing. Maybe a browser setting?iOS is notorious for only allowing applications to run in the background if they are a special application class, and the app must declare this; e.g. audio application, voip app, background fetch etc.
I don't think this is the case on Android.
We're not proposing that it replace JRemote.Sorry, you had posted a message a few weeks ago saying something to the effect of: the original developer of JRemote having left, leaving you with a codebase that you aren't familiar with.
Did you try another browser? Or search the browser settings?Everything on iOS is just a shell for Safari, and it doesn't have any settings which affect this.
It isn't Panel that is doing the playback. It's the browser.
it requests basic auth if I hit http://...:51299/ or if I hit http://...:52199/Panel/
I also notice that it now makes you login multiple times, it presents a basic auth challenge (via the browser login dialog) and then presents the application login screen anyway. It behaves like the app is sending a request that requires auth before it even gets to presenting you with a login (and then the app is not realising that a token has been provided already).I've seen that and I think it's a bug. Once you log in, it will remain connected until you log out.
MC will restart on its own. It takes about a minute.Thanks Jim, but it doesn't happen for me. When I shut down MC, the pi keeps powered but will not connect to vnc viewer of pc, nor to Panel or JRemote.
I've seen that and I think it's a bug. Once you log in, it will remain connected until you log out.
This login / logout isn't right yet. We're trying to move it so that it protects things like shutting down a machine, but doesn't get in the way of normal use. Expect changes.
I am very new to Panel and the IdPi, maybe a whole 24 hours so far, somewhere along the way I lost the ability manage the Settings through Panel. I no longer see any options for shutting down or restarting on the Panel Settings menu.
I do have the Enable Full Authentication button in the Panel, get prompted for a userid and passwd.
I do not have Authentication turned on, I was only trying to check out basic functionality at this point.
I have ReadOnly Auth... > Everyone
This may have happened when I did the update to Id:22.0.82 MC:23.0.102
I believe I did try it, set a userid and passwd, but it did not see anything different in Panel.
Do I need to Enable Full Authentication ??
I am just trying to use the local library and media at the moment.
video seek does not work instead it resets playback back to the start of the file
Which web browser are you using? If you're using Safari, try a different web browser.
What type of file? Are you playing from MC to Panel?
You can set the conversion in the DLNA Server section of MC's Media Network options.
Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately this doesn't change the lack of working seek for videos :-(
There is a bug with seeking when playing videos to the browser. That is being worked on.
When I click on an album in Panel running on my music server (version 23 windows) the album does not autoplay all songs. It plays the first song and then stops, I have to click on the next song as each song ends, What am I missing?
When trying to rate a song (by clicking on the area with the five stars), the songs just restarts. I assume that is due to the rating stars being implemented on the GUI but the underlying functionality not yet?
Can the "current-playing" indicator's behavior in the playlist that is shown on the right-hand side (artwork is on the left) be changed, so that it stays always visible (e.g. leave it in the middle of the page and move the tracklist "up" a song each time the next song starts)?
I currently listen to a long playlist and have a tab open that I check from time to time. Unfortunately, with the current behavior, I need to scroll down and look for the current track that is playing (in case more songs played meanwhile than are being displayed in the playlist on the webpage).
Can the scaling of artwork be controlled? I always wanted to get bigger artwork (like slider the option in MC). Yesterday I changed the width of my browser and noticed that the icons scale but the logic behind this scaling is somehow irritating. When i have a narrow browser I see big artworks, then they become small when I enlarge the browser window. Can this behavor be controlled somehow?
Can the movie list in Panel show posters in a grad as opposed to a list? And can the posters be poster dimensions and not square?
Same for TV Shows. Would prefer poster dimensions...
cheers - trying to get used to Panel.
I have seen this issue posted a few times, but I can't reproduce it. Can you provide me with more details? What devices are you accessing Panel on (i.e. iPad, Windows desktop, etc.)? What web browser are you using? Have you tried a different web browser? Are you playing to the web browser or a different Media Center zone? What is the full version of Media Center?
I am accessing panel on through chrome on a linux desktop.
My media center version is 23.0.103.
Not sure the browser or platform is relevant as I am able to access your "Id Outside" demo instance of panel(in the same browser at https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,112181.0.html) and it performs as expected when I click on the Bob Marley album it plays and auto proceeds to the next song when a song completes.
UPDATE: I have also tried this on chrome on a Mac desktop with the same issue, clicking on album, or playlist only plays the first song. Each subsequent song needs to be started manually. by clicking on the next button.
I stand corrected!!! Using Safari and Firefox on a mac it does auto play the next song. So apparently the browser does matter, but that doesn't explain why the demo works on chrome on my linux desktop but the panel my media center is serving does not. Puzzling.
When the first track completes, does the playing icon remain on that first track or does it go to the next track and just not start playing?
not seeing many posts here. Any further thought on the Android/Chrome problem of Playing only the first track of a playlist. Do we think this is a Chrome issue?No. It was an MC issue and we think it's fixed in MC24.
I apologize if this has already come up in the last 9 pages. I have been trying out Panel with my audio as a replacement for JRemote. It isn't working out for me because I have a large library with thousands of artists and the pages with 200 items just don't cut it. I changed it from 200 to 5000 but Artist images wouldn't load and there is no way to scroll.I have mine set to 500 and the wait isn't too bad. The speed of the network would, of course, be a factor.
A solution may be an option to have text only lists when there are more than 50 items. Also a way to scroll quickly through is needed.
Thanks
Has this been fixed now?
