Title: Any events or API for handheld players?
Post by: e-head on April 29, 2010, 09:32:08 pm
I'd like to know if there is a way to respond to a "handheld player" connected event somehow, and if so is there a way to query and get a list of songs that were played on it?

I'm trying to kick around ideas for how I might code up an improved last.fm plugin (one that posts songs you played on your handheld).

Alternatively, are songs identified in the database in any manner according to WHERE they were last played? For example, would it be possible to construct a playlist of songs all of which were last played on your handheld?

TIA

I was also wondering if Media Center had an API for its hand held capabilities, I wanted to create a plugin that would be able to sync a device through Media Center. If anyone could point me to any documentation on adding support for a new device I would be grateful.

Thanks
