Title: Is "upload to cloud" supposed to work yet?
Post by: shortie on August 04, 2019, 12:56:18 pm
Maybe it's me but I continue to get the message that I must be logged in to use this...but I *AM* logged in as evidenced by the Cloudplay screen.

Try logging out of Cloudplay and back in.

Thanks, Jim. I tried that. Several times and I get the same message. I’m using max’s docker container and .87. Any other ideas? It should work, right?

Different on Docker?

If you have another way to test outside of Docker, it might give you a clue.

That’s the problem, I don’t have any other way to test it. My Linux system is Ubuntu 14 and I can’t (or couldn’t back when I first tried) install it because of missing or incompatible dependencies and I just didn’t have the time or energy to make all the changes to get it working. I’ll see if I can find the time to try installing it again and report back if I can manage it.

UPDATE no, still can’t easily install due to downlevel dependencies.

Try using Panel and connecting to your Docker install of MC.  Set it to play on Player.

When you use Panel, you have to log in (if you have authentication set on the server) and then log in to Cloudplay.

I’ll try this when I get home tonight and report back

We're working on getting Linux supported for Cloudplay, but it's not quite there yet.

Ah, ok, thank you. I decommissioned all my windows machines a while and have been checking every few releases. Things looked much better this release and I was hoping…

Could you make a note that pressing upload when connected remotely to another jriver instance should not look for the path where the file is on the remote jriver instance? That's never going to work.
I never had this working on any machine yet either. On Windows I got well that. I would have mounted the directory to that path. But how do I mount to /data/music on Windows? ^^
