Title: KEF LS50 Wireless 2 is available in MC ?
Post by: jauroi on December 21, 2020, 04:52:12 pm
Hi All,

I want to know if KEF LS50 Wireless 2 is available in MC
LS50 w2 manual says
" 6.1.6 UPnP Compatible
You can play compatible music files stored in the music library of a connected media
server (e.g. NAS drive via DLAN/uPnP). The media server must be on the same network
as the speakers. "

I think LS50 w2 are seen as a DLNA media renderer from JRiver like any other DLNA device.
Does anyone here have the LS50 Wireless 2 and what are your experiences with MC?

Many people use this speaker with MC. You can use DLNA, or there is a Windows driver you can install (for the v1 speaker at lease; the v2 is crippled).  It has multiple inputs that can be used to connect directly to a PC like any other source. Call KEF if you want more info about using their speakers with Windows applications.

Assuming a UPnP connection and 2 KEF LS50 II speakers, how would one go about setting up a stereo pair? Through the KEF app? Is anyone using such a configuration with MC?
