Title: Raspberry Pi 4 and HEVC and x265 Hardware Decoding
Post by: Klangfarben on March 21, 2020, 02:18:54 pm
Hi just wondering if MC26 can support the Raspberry Pi 4's hardware decoding for HEVC and x265 and if so, which distro is recommended.

Thanks so much!

Unfortunately we don't support hardware decoding on RPi yet.

any plans on it for MC27? Not sure what's involved, but it would be great if it supported it for the Pi 4.

We're looking to expand hardware support for MC on Linux in MC27, but I cant say yet how far well get, baring technical challenges and compatibility concerns
