Title: (SOLVED) Media Center 30 Won't Start on Mac Silicon
Post by: billandrewsjr on November 12, 2022, 03:18:14 pm
I just installed Ventura on my Mac Studio.  When I rebooted I can't get Media Center 30 to run ... it sits and says application not responding, and I have to Force Quit

Try downloading the latest version and reinstalling.

Clarification, it stopped working after the Ventura 13.0.1 release; it worked on the initial install

I did an uninstall with Trashme 3 and installed this version and it still doesn't work.

What is the recommended way of doing a clean erase?  I'm sure its just a permissions issue (I checked those as well)

SOLVED

First I deleted the app.

Then I went into the ~/library/ folder and deleted all references to "J River" and "Media Center" in Application Support and Preferences.

Then reinstalled clean!

You don't have to delete all of that but it works.
Just the related version.
~/Library/Application Support/J River/Media Center 30
would be enough.
