When I pop as CD in my drive, MJ start to play it. I want it to open the rip screen, or at least not try and play it.
As it is now, I have to stop the CD and then rip it. I can't seem to find a setting to control this. Is there any setting for this?

You've got auto-insert turned on in the OS. You need to turn it off there. Try a search on google or visit the MS web site.
A right click on the drive in Windows Explorer might get you there.

Archis,
You forgot to mention which flavor of Winders you're running. The autorun switch is hidden pretty well on Win2K & XP.
Jim is on target about using Google to search but the accuracy of results on the main page has dipped a BIG bunch in the last 18 months. You'll grin more often using Google/Groups: :D

I am running XP. If I go to the property sheet for my CD drive, I can disable autoplay. I have done that, but MJ still tries to play a CD when I load it.

File association in the options window.
Disable MJ's associated with cd's.
Also - suggest you download and install Tweak-UI for XP which will give you a lot more control over the Auto Insert options easily.

Want an easy way that doesn't require system changes?
Just hold the Shift key down for 5-10 sec's after inserting CD.

Actually, the Window's autoplay was the culprit after all. Under XP you have the option to configure autoplay on different file types, once I disabled it for Music CDs my problem was solved.
