Title: YOUTUBE
Post by: DaremoS on September 15, 2015, 08:19:29 pm
When I try to download a video, it ask me for a folder... cool!
then press ENTER... as a lightning the process ends!!!... great!!
*****
No video downloaded at all :c
*****

I sincerely would like to have NO option for downloading if the video can't be downloaded.

I recently bought MC 21... I am using it regularly.
I just ask for a real treatment of the issue, ie... do not give the option of download if it's not possible.
then user can go for an external option for this.
Just be aware that I use MC as a better file explorer for many task beside managing of my huge collection of media.

Kindly an answer from the developers!

The download works great for me.  Are you in a non-US country that could possibly explain the issue?

It's possible that it isn't available for some files.

I really don't get your point. I live in Chile. I can play Youtube videos without problems inside MC or in Chrome or any browser.
Supposedly Youtube videos aren't downloadable, chrome extensions are forbidden for this purpose, then user needs an external program.
I normally use such programs (MOVIER works fine for me). This programs are used also in the states.
Browser embedded in MC (or its download function) have this restriction? To not allow download of such videos for non-US people, ie similar restriction of Chrome or Google, which is for all people.
Then answer is shorter: no download for non-US, then, I'll have to use a proxy. Then answer by JimH doesn't apply either.
I, sincerely feel that there is a problem in my MC 21 right now (also in previous MC versions).
I recall downloading youtube videos pre-HTML5, since then all changed,
Or maybe its something related with protected videos, as I read in the forum.
I was needing an explanation from your side... no big problem for me anyway.

Thanks for you reply
