Please read carefully before downloading.
This is BETA software. There are still some known (and unknown) bugs.
The latest known stable version of 9.1 beta is here:

The latest build of 9.1 beta is here:
ftp://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter91249.exe
Please report only known problems in this thread. If you want to discuss changes in the UI, please use another thread.
History:
1. Fixed: Lists wouldn't always draw checkboxes properly. (DSP Studio, etc.)
2. Fixed: Removing duplicates from Playing Now wouldn't always work properly if there were duplicates of the playing track.
3. Fixed: Tabbing would enter Action Window even if it was minimized.
4. Changed: Tabbing now enters each pane individually.
5. Changed: Improved menu keyboard navigation. (up / down rolls, page up / page down more reliable, etc.)
6. Fixed: Menus wouldn't properly skin scroll arrows.
7. Fixed: When starting dual playback, the selected image wouldn't always show first.
8. Changed: Screensaver no longer disabled when Hairstyle is visible. (still disabled during fullscreen playback)
9. Fixed: Import from Explorer would report one more file scanned than it should have.
10. Fixed: Mouse wheel didn't work when the mouse cursor was over a scrollbar.

When you click and drag the handle to resize the bottom portion of the window (below the panes), it does not draw quickly (leaves trail).

Please read the thread regarding the (0xc..90) search bug. It seems to be resolved with this build.
Matt, THANKS AGAIN!!!

Wishes:
1.- The useful tools in AW are still hide inside a deep menu.
If you think is useful, you can mantain "Show it as window" in the AW tools button. However, IMO, it does not make any sense to find that option right clicking a selection.
2.- Playing song is hard to see in AW. The blue color seems black to my aged eyes.
3.- AW still flash during library navigation (clicking in panes...). If the playing now list is short enogh, then just the last songs flashes. If the list is long (scroll needed), the whole AW flashes in a very visible way.
Bug?
I can't stream WMA with accents using Media Server.

Bugs:
1. Long time bug (8.0 days too)...when uploading files to my CF-card (portable device), if you start the upload process and then click on Playing Now (while still uploading), MC crashes. I did have a track playing too at the time (if that matters, but not one of the tracks that was uploading).
2. MC is forgetting the previous AW setting after restarts...always returns to 'home base' it seems.

Posted a few builds back:
BUG: If you go to Tools/Skin Manager, click mini-me tab, click a skin name in the list to go into "rename" mode, then click back to the mega-me tab, there's either a re-paint problem or it's retaining the rename mode on mini-me though displaying the mega-me list.

Folder Displayed Twice
In My Computer, if a folder is dragged to a new location or if a new folder is created, it is displayed twice.
I know I was told that the it's by design that the AW floats centrally beneath the tree if the tree doesn't push it flush to the bottom of the window but man it looks kind of awkward and, well, broken.

Hi Z,
That's what we decided to do just for the sake of clarity, and mainly for new users.
In the next version, we'll try to tune this up.

BUG: Drag'n'drop within the media library doesn't work.
Go to Media library -> Audio -> Hard Disk Location
Select one Album (direcotory) drag it to a sub folder and drop it. It will generate two popup's:
"Error setting some file properties: Location (root)" and
"This operation can not be completed because the desired action is ambiguous or not possible"

I agree. I think it should remain 'docked' at the bottom of the tree view.
Great build though :)

another long time bug...
For a new MC install, set encoding to mp3. MC immediately informs you that you don't have the mp3 plugin and offers to go get it for you. Let it. It gets it, and offers a dialogue box informing you that the plugin successfully installed. Clicking OK on this dialogue causes MC to crash instantly. it just vanishes. gone.

Just to be complete, this happens for MP3 and MP3 VBR.
As I was ready to install 249, I went ahead and created the crash. I waited a couple of minutes and then did an express install of 249. As the install completed, I get a popup saying Failed to install package. Destination file is in use. Then it gives the complete path to in_mp3.zip

1)When using ASIO for streaming mp3s, switching stations causes stuttering and occasionally crashes.
2) MC downloads *.rm files instead of streaming them
This is an old bug.
3)The action window image does not automatically update to currently playing song

Where's those extra toolbar buttons? We still can't play a file with a single left click.
