Hello. I recently returned to JRiver after 10 years, purchasing the Media Center 21 upgrade. I have searched the forum for this issue but have found no relevant topics. I am running MC 21.0.6 on Windows 7 64-bit.
When I attempt to connect my Last.fm account, I receive the following error (tried this in both Chrome and Firefox to be sure it's not a browser issue):
"Token expired. Please return to JRiver and try again."
I am aware that Last.fm has recently changed a lot of their backend, but doing a Google search on the issue shows some other apps that have resolved the same expired token issue (e.g. VOX).
Thanks a lot for any help you can provide.

When I try to connect to Last.fm it just opens the webpage no problem. Strange.
And more on this. We get a token using auth.getToken right before the call. We only try to open the webpage if we actually get a result (so that means it's responding).

I get the same error "Token expired. Please return to JRiver and try again."
Tried chrome, firefox and luakit, with the same result. I'm using build 21.0.4 if that helps...

Can you log into last.FM outside of MC, just using your browser?

Hello, I'm having the exact same problem.
I have MC20 on another computer and no problem, downloaded and installed MC21 on my new computer and I get the 'token expired' error.
Yes login via chrome browser works without problem. Is there a way to downgrade to MC20 while the error is fixed please?
Thanks.

You can have Media Center 20 installed even if you already have Media Center 21 installed. Just make sure you use the Media Center 20 executable to launch Media Center 20.

Did you try MC21 on the computer that does work?
-
Thanks for your answers.
I tried MC20 on new computer, same error message.
I tried MC21 on old computer, no problem.

Antivirus?
Firewall?

I'm using same configuration on both with ESET Smart Security and disabled Windows Defender.
However, old comp is Win 8.1 pro, new one is Win 10.
For what it's worth, I also use Qobuz Player on the new computer and it scrobbles perfectly, as it did on the old one.

Uninstall ESET as a test.

New test today. Everything works fine :).
Win 10 updated itself in the past few days so either it was a problem related to the system or to lastfm.
