Hi. I'm using a Rega DAC R USB. I believe the Rega is a 24bit DAC, but using 32bit for it's ASIO connection. Under ASIO options, checked 'Device uses only most significant 24 bits', does this mean audio will be dithered to 24bit using TPDF down a 32bit connection if TPDF is selected for dithering?
Thanks

Yes, it will. Thats exactly what the option in the ASIO settings is for, as many DACs have this particular behavior - only accept 24-bit, but their ASIO driver still requests 32.

Thanks very much Hendrik.
I'm guessing the Rega is true 24bit, even though the DAC chipset can handle 32bit, Rega specs writes it accepts up to 24 bits on all inputs.
