I hope you can help me on this. I purchased MC 21 Master, but knowing I needed an external hard drive to move 1 TB of music from my computer, I didn't install until a few weeks ago. I read all the threads for installing on a hard drive. However, two things:
1) The installation went fine, except that the DSP Studio has nothing installed and therefore I cannot play any of the files.
2) I've restored twice now, yet the MC 21 shows a trial period and the days keep counting down. When I restored, all seems fine but somehow must not have installed properly.
What advice does anyone have to rectify these issues?
Regards,
Stephen

Did you set up audio? Tools > Options > Audio. You have to choose a sound device there.

Am I not to use JRiver MC 21? I cannot configure audio.

Are you installing it to the portable drive, using the Portable Install? If so, try a normal install to the internal drive of MC.
Go to Windows Control Panel > Sounds and make sure your settings are correct there.

You must set a device in MC's audio settings or you won't get any sound.
