Title: MC 20 can't import photos

Upgraded from 19 to 20. Still works fine in 19, easy. MC 20 imported the photos 19 already had during install but will not import any more. Very frustrating. If I try to open an image file it doesn't already recognize it gives me a media error. All the files types are enabled under the image file type settings. It displays images that are already in the library with no issue.

You might not have "Image" selected under your media types for Auto Import on the auto import folder you want to monitor for images.  Or, if you are importing single folders, you might not have clicked Image in the import dialog.

For auto import:  Tools > Options > Library & Folders > Configure auto import > (select folder) > Edit > Import these file types > Images > (check)

Thanks for responding. I am importing a single folder. Image is selected.

It won't even open an image file when I double clip or drag and drop. Just gives me a media error.

Funny, a reboot fixed it. It is Windows. I suppose I should have thought of that first.

Are your file associations correct in OPTIONS - FILE TYPES - IMAGE ??
