Title: mc2xml
Post by: DrD on October 16, 2015, 02:45:07 am
mc2xml is causing me problems by coming up multiple times when I do not need it. I live in Australia and it just seems a great pain to me! In the end Norton  360 temporally removes this program but it keeps coming back. How do I get rid of it as it is driving me to insanity!

What is this 'mc2xml' of which you speak?

What are the warning messages? Can you exclude it (and other JRiver files) from Norton?

DrD, mc2xml is a TV function that doesn't work in Oz.

Did you set up TV at all?

Sounds like going back to square one for TV is on the cards.

I still have not been told how to eliminate mc2xml in Australia! This software has at least interrupted me listening to music 200 times. Sometimes Norton 360 temporarily kills it. It is totally ruining my MediaCentre 21 experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either tell Norton to stop or try turning off TV support in MC (Options > General > Features), but that's Norton doing it, not MC.

TV Options.  Click "Load program guide...".  On the resulting window, look for anything related to mc2xml in the list in the middle of the window and uncheck them.

Re-run Setup and choose appropriate epg option for Australia.
