Title: Double entry of music in JRiver library
Post by: Oliverlim on October 18, 2015, 11:25:56 pm
I initially set up my jriver media server with a SD drive which showed up as E drive in my system. I later copied all of the music files into a hdd which now shows up as D drive. I have removed the SD drive. But my library shows many music files twice. One as located in D and one as located in E.  Of course if I try to play the E drive file, it reports a error. How to I do a library update to remove all missing entries?

Make a backup of your database first.  File > Library > Back up library .

Go to a view that shows all of your files. Audio > Files is a good one.
In the search box at the upper right, type:  E:\
Now all of your files from the old drive should be showing.  They probably have red minus signs ( - ) next to them.
Verify that only the E: drive files are showing and that you want to delete these files.
Highlight them all.
Press delete.
Select "remove from database only".

Good luck!

Brian.
