Hi everyone
A couple of posts have come up about remapping/importing tag fields into JRiver recently (eg. https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=100723.0 (https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=100723.0) ).
Maybe it could be easy to use one of these tables http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?title=Tag_Mapping#Mapping_Tables (http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?title=Tag_Mapping#Mapping_Tables) or http://picard.musicbrainz.org/docs/mappings/ (http://picard.musicbrainz.org/docs/mappings/), dump it into a an excel file and just add a column??
I think it would help a bunch of people and these questions come up quite a bit. Most common fields are self-explanatory, some however really are not -- especially MP3 TXXX fields
Thanks in advance

Thanks for posting this, Arindelle - and I'd like to amplify the request. A mapping table like the one you describe - that maps JRiver fields to file-writable tags in various format (mp3, FLAC, vorbis, etc.) - would be very valuable to someone like me. (I haven't been giving my music library migration task much attention lately; and this discussion is slowing me down more. :-))

I'm going to bump this as there are at least a couple of posts on mapping fields each month. asking for ID3 equivalents
could it be possible please to just print your chart and sticky it?? like this one for foobar http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?title=Foobar2000:ID3_Tag_Mapping (http://wiki.hydrogenaud.io/index.php?title=Foobar2000:ID3_Tag_Mapping) You guys must have a spreadsheet of this somewhere already, right?
or for the Picard Tagger http://picard.musicbrainz.org/docs/mappings/ (http://picard.musicbrainz.org/docs/mappings/)
I'd even go so far as suggesting hard coding sort fields (Artist, AlbumArtist, and Composer sorts) as this is part of basic metadata on rip and seems to be where most of the questions are on about. Almost seems an omission really that they are not already pre-mapped internally.
Thanks in advance for considering :)
