Title: Playing from client to server
Post by: vulture_g7 on November 07, 2015, 10:32:53 am
So, I was wondering if I could do this:

PC1 is server, PC2 is client. Build a playlist on PC2 and when I start playback, it is done at the speakers connected on PC1.

Is that possible? And I mean via the proper MC gui not gizmo or something else.

Thx!

You can play to another PC, using the MC interface.  Please see the "Tremote" topic on our wiki for more information.

Thx Jim! I'll check that!

edit:

I've seen the topic and read the relevant thread and I think it's clear enough (haven't tried it in practice yet). Just one more question if I may, at the start of the relevant thread it is mentioned that it'd be possible to play both from client and server at the same time, is that implemented? Thx!

Yes.  MC can act as server or client, and you can play anything on either copy.
