Title: Automatically install stable releases.
Post by: edwarduk on November 10, 2015, 12:26:55 pm
How do I have it so that stable releases are automatically installed please?

This is probably a windows question, but still.

I have my main JRiver library on a server (currently WHS11) and when there is a stable release (as like today) it gets downloaded but I have to 'ok' through the install.  This requires me having to remote desktop to the server and do the install manually.   Same problem on the client side (running win7) - both machines are headless - I normally simply control via JRemote.  But this all fails when there is a stable update.

The problem is more pronounced when I'm remote streaming as things simply do not work until I install updates.

Of course I could just switch off auto downloads of stable releases but prefer not.

thx

When you are manually installing the update, there is a box on the second screen that says "next time use auto install after 30 second timeout". You check this box and shouldn't need to do anything else.

Oh!

Sorry I must have missed that totally - too busy pressing OK I guess.  :D

Thanks for that.  I will keep a beady eye open next time.
