I bought a giant tablet yesterday. It has an 18" screen but acts just like an Android phone.

I do like it. It's a different class of device, something not like a tablet or a TV, but a bit of both.
It's heavy, but not too heavy to hold.

I have an HP Slate Pro - its a 21" Android tablet hanging on the wall in the kitchen.
Runs the Home Automation and music control for the house/outside. It has an HDMI in that I have connected a Chromecast to.
I love it.
Not as versatile as the new Samsung you have but then again I paid less than $100 for mine.
