Title: Making New Playlists Show the Same Fields (Resolved)
Post by: Skeezix on November 14, 2015, 06:51:21 pm
Each time I make a new playlist I have to delete some of the displayed fields and add some fields that are not displayed as default.

How can I make a "new" default playlist?

Right click a column header in a play list you have the fields arranged the way you like.
Select Presets and save your customised layout. You can then apply this layout to any playlists you create.

Ok it's not the default settings but it only takes a couple of clicks to standardise your layouts.

Great tip!  I think I've seen the presets item before, but I couldn't have told you that it was there.  This might come in handy...

Using MC is still a bit of an 'adventure'; even for the old hands  :)

I just 'standardised' all my smartlists; that how I know. I was doing manually and thought there must be a better way. . . and there was, I just had to find out which bushel it was hiding under  :D

Also, if you have your playlists or smartlists in a playlist group, any new lists added to that group will keep the same columns as those shown when the group title is selected in the tree.

This way, you can easily have different columns shown in different groups.

That works for me. Thank you!

One more thing - if you have a group of playlists selected, it only works on the first playlist in the group. That means that if you have 50 playlists and you want them to all look like one of them you must repeat the process 49 times.
