I've done this with gizmo (on android) controlling different zones.  Two remotes.  One computer.  Two (or more zones).  Worked with no issues in my limited testing.

I would like to control the same zone. Maybe multiple zones would be useful.

I do this (ipad and iphone). Its been so long ago, that I forget now ... but it seems that one is set up with authentification (ipad) and the iphone is linked direct to an IP address. If you are having problems maybe two devices using authentication can't be used at once??

Yes it works fine.

Clearly if you push a different playlist from two different JRemote control points to the same player then the "last one wins" whereby the last sent playlist overwrites any playlist sent previously by any other control point. In case of such an overwriting you may need to press the "Refresh Playlist" button to force the overwritten control point to backwards synchronize its playlist display to reflect the current playlist that is actually being played.
