Title: I/O never stops

Hi, for some reason, Media Center 21 accesses the disk continuously 24 hours a day. I checked it with Procexplorer and it is, indeed, doing I/O.  What could this be?  What information could I provide that might help figure this out?

Maybe your antivirus?

MC does do some work building thumbnails and audio analysis, but that should stop after a few days.

In line with what Jim says, you can check to see if MC is running any background processing:  Help > System Info > Background tools running .
