Post by: zombie-wmd on November 26, 2015, 05:22:32 am
greetings -

when trying to shut down MC under OS X (El Capitan) - message to the effect of -

"Media Center can not perform this action while tools are running.

Running tools : Get Cover Art

Please close any running tools and try again."

how does one do this, exactly?

Can you just leave MC running long enough to finish the process?
You could turn off "Run auto import in background" at Tools>Options>Library & Folders

Nothing was running, and MC had been in that state from the failed OS X shut down the previous night.  About 9 hours.

It sounds like MC got hung up on processing a file.
If you open Services & Plugins>Reporter does it show any processes running or files not yet processed?

Too late for that.  I did a force quit, something I try to avoid, yesterday.

it's probably a one-of-a-kind problem.  Still, there's a bug there and i found the message amusing.

if it happens again I'll do what you suggest and pass it along.
