Title: Samsung Multiroom System
Post by: HamsterMI on November 27, 2015, 09:41:38 am
Hello !
I try to configure MediaCenter 21 with my Samsung Multiroom System but I'm not able play music on any part of system (Speaker or Hub) - Does someone has already tried to connect to these products ?
Any suggestion ?
Excuse me for my bad English.

Is it a Bluetooth connection?

Jim, I think he is referring to this: http://www.samsung.com/us/video/multi-room (so FWIW it uses both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth)

Hamster, I looked at the specifications, and I think you are out of luck, because they seem not to support UPnP/DLNA. It looks like they only work with Samsung's proprietary app.

PS it's a shame, because if they did add UPnP/DLNA support, it would be quite a cool box of tricks.

I've had a couple of Samsung speakers.  MC works with them if you get Bluetooth working.

You have to pair your computer with the speaker via Bluetooth.

Then you have to check your computer's Bluetooth settings to make sure it has the speakers enabled for audio.

Then you have to use MC's Audio settings and choose the Bluetooth speaker.

I believe that Samsung's Allshare protocol is DLNA.  I'm not certain.

 :( :( :(

Ok Thank you for your reply.

I can't use the Bluetooth connection because the speaker is far from the computer. The unit it's connected via wi-fi
