There are a few things I use in MC that aren't obvious, but are very useful. Please add to this list if you can.
Thanks.
--------
CTRL-G folds up the tree on the left, making it easy to find a main category if it's scrolled off the screen.
F11 toggles Theater View.
CTRL-O opens Options.
Space bar toggles playback.
On an image, you can type a number (1-9) and MC will zoom in, using the mouse cursor position as the center.

I'm a HUGE fan of hotkeys. They save so much time and make the experience much more fluid and productive. That said, most of the keys I use day to day are custom mappings. I don't want to confuse the issue, so I'll just leave that alone for now.
Other than space and control-O which you've already mentioned, I also use control-3 to toggle in and out of full screen mode (Display view). This is very useful for watching videos and going back and forth between Standard view (windowed video) and Display view (full screen video).

You can save a screenshot or other image to MC.
1. Right click on any image (web page, etc.) and choose Copy.
2. Open the Camera feature in the Action Window.
3. Select Paste.
This adds the picture to MC's image library. You can find it under Recently Acquired in the Playlists.

When viewing a list of grouped files, double clicking on the group header plays all files in the group.

You brought up Ctrl-O for options...it doesn't always work, which drives me nuts! I haven't been able to figure out why, but most of the time for me it brings up a small dialog box that is named 'Open', and it has a text box in it to type in, and maybe a button or 2. It seems like once I get it to work to open options, it will continue to work.

Maybe a plug-in is also using ctrl-o. I'll split this to a new thread.
