Title: Audio CDs in DB or not?
Post by: Valissystem on September 02, 2003, 04:42:26 pm
Well I've been looking at various ways of using Media Center for a while now and one of the questions I have is:

Do other people import tracks from Audio CDs that you play in MC or leave them out of the database. I can see reasons for and against.

For: Info about tracks etc. can be stored in the Database and is not lost (cover art, lyrics etc.)

Against: Clutters up the DB. You have to specifically setup searches etc. to only find "local" volume names so as not to avoid finding tracks that are not currently available.

How do others do this?

I leave them out.  But then I've already ripped all my cd's to 320kbps mp3's and they sound excellent so that's all I play (and make compilation cd's with).
