Something I'd find very handy is the ability to create so called 'conversion profiles'.
i.e.:
a profile that I might call my iPod-profile would look like this (source is DSD):
codec: ALAC,
Options:
16bit
Apply DSP
44.1KHz
pre-amp gain: +6
output: /path/to/directory
Number of conversions at the same time: 4
Leave source (don't delete, don't remove from library), don't put destination files to library
I would name this my DSD-profile:
codec: DSD, Codec config: Double DSD
Options:
'Apply DSP' unchecked
Output: same as source
Number of conversions at the same time: 1 (more than 1 crashes MC on my iMac)
Delete source, add newly created files to library
These are the two main profiles that I would use but I would probably add more over time.
Any thoughts?
