When I attempt to connect JRemote via access code or IP, it says user credentials failed, yet I am sure they are correct. Help!

Hello!
Sorry for the fact that I'm a newbie, but I have an idea - try temporarily disabling the firewall on the computer you're using to host the MC server.
Also, if you haven't seen it, be sure to follow these steps (https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=90120.0) to setup your media server.

Thank you, but I have already attempted these steps.

Hi
Are you trying to connect by the SAME wireless connection and name ?
For example I have a router (called TP_LINK) and a range extender (TP_LINK_EXT) . My PC is connected wirelessly to TP_LINK_EXT .
We live in Johannesburg and have lightening storms daily this time of the year, so routers, hi fi, PC's etc get unplugged from mains until safe.
Inevitably the router and hence internet gets restored first and some times the extender gets forgotten until its needed . If TP_LINK_EXT is down for any reason eg unplugged, my Ipad "Silently" defaults to TP_Link instead since it has credential stored to both.
Since JRemote is looking for the media server on TP_LINK_EXT it fails to connect, its fussy that way.
Just a thought
