I apologize if this has been covered somewhere before but I was unable to find if this is possible.
I am wanting to "run" the RMCF function at a scheduled time (like 4:00 am) every day to move recorded tv from my SSD (a dedicated SSD only for live tv buffer and recording) to my server (a JBOD array).
Thanks.

Why not just record there initially?

That's what I've been doing for the past few years. Recently, I've been experiencing some hiccups with watching Live TV and I've been trying to figure out why. I switched the location for the TV buffer and recordings to my OS's SSD just to see if that solved the hiccups...and it has. I have now put a 500 GB SSD (in addition to my 128 GB OS SSD) into my completely silent and fanless HTPC. And now everything is working very well. I just need to off load the daily recordings to larger capacity drives.
Honestly, I'm a performance and speed freak.

Are you running antivirus software?
Recording and watching TV shouldn't stress a hard drive.

only MS Security Essentials

This would be worth reading, especially the link on Taming Windows Defender.
